Artists across the Hudson Valley and Catskills will open their studios to the public this weekend as part of Open Studios, a region-wide program organized by Upstate Art Weekend.
The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, May 16, and Sunday, May 17, with 240 participating artists across the region. Visitors can use UAW’s Google map to plan their route and visit studios, galleries and creative spaces throughout the Hudson Valley and Catskills.
The program is intended to offer a more intimate way to experience the region’s arts community, giving visitors a chance to meet artists where they work and see the places where their art is made.
Several participating artists and studios are in or near The Overlook’s coverage area, including stops in Woodstock, Bearsville, Lake Hill, Mount Tremper, Phoenicia, Shandaken, Lanesville, West Shokan, Shokan, Hurley, Saugerties and West Kill.
