Fans of Dolly Parton won’t want to miss “Dolly Forever,” an evening of live music, Southern comfort food, and literary insights honoring the beloved icon and her Imagination Library. Hosted by local writer Martha Frankel, the event takes place Saturday, April 26, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Olive Free Library in West Shokan.

Enjoy Dolly’s hits performed by country band Critter Bonus, savor classics like chicken and dumplings, and hear behind-the-scenes stories from Holly George-Warren, co-author of the Grammy-nominated bestseller Behind the Seams: My Life in Rhinestones. Guests are encouraged to dress in their Dolly best for a chance to win exciting prizes—including tickets to Dollywood. Since 1995, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, book gifting program that mails free, high-quality books to children from birth to age five, no matter their family’s income, has donated over 200 million books to more than 3 million children.

“I just want to say what an amazing thing this is, for a kid to get their own little library,” Frankel said. “It’s my dream come true!”
