The Bearsville Bluegrass Festival has been postponed because of forecasts for severe weather in the region, organizers said.

The festival, originally scheduled for May 24, will now take place from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, May 30, at Bearsville Center on Tinker Street in Woodstock.

Organizers said the decision was made to ensure that visitors could safely enjoy the full festival, including live music, the Phoenicia Flea marketplace, food vendors, the community gathering, and the Bearsville grounds.

โ€œGiven the expected weather conditions, postponing the event is the only way we can safely and properly deliver the experience everyone expects and deserves,โ€ the Bearsville Festival Team said in an email.

Tickets already purchased for the festival will remain valid for the new date. Ticket holders will be contacted directly, and no action is required. Existing digital or physical tickets will grant entry on May 30, organizers said.

The festival team said it is working with scheduled artists and vendors to retain the full program. Tickets are still available for the new date.

Updated entertainment schedules and event information will be posted at Bearsville Centerโ€™s website. Questions can be directed to Geanine at geanine@bearsvillecenter.com.
