Paris-based Orphee Musique will bring its concert tour to the Catskills Oct. 3–5, with performances in Woodstock, Elka Park, and Hunter before continuing to New York City.

The seven-day tour begins Friday, Oct. 3, at St. Gregory’s Episcopal Church in Woodstock, followed by concerts on Saturday, Oct. 4, in Elka Park and Sunday, Oct. 5, in Hunter. The tour then moves to New York City with four concerts between Oct. 6 and Oct. 9.

“We are so enthusiastic about bringing the talented Emma Gergely and Arthur Gautier to the U.S. for this challenging tour, which marks the four-year anniversary of Orphee Musique’s U.S. venture,” said program head Mai Tran, who thanked St. Gregory’s Episcopal Church and the Catskill Mountain Foundation for serving as hosts.

Orphee Musique describes itself as a platform that “offers experiences and practical training” to help emerging musicians transition to professional life.

Gergely, a cellist and mezzo-soprano, has won numerous awards, beginning her studies at the Mans Conservatory and completing her master’s at CNSMDP, often described as the French equivalent of Juilliard. Gautier, a pianist and fellow CNSMDP graduate, was a finalist earlier this year in the Schubert International Piano Competition.
