The Overlook is committed to independent reporting across the Catskills. If you have firsthand knowledge of misconduct, misuse of public resources, or decisions that impact your community, we invite you to share it with us.

The most useful tips include specific details and, when possible, supporting documentation: emails, contracts, photographs, recordings, or other records that help us verify what happened. We cannot pursue rumors or unsupported allegations.

If you are seeking confidentiality, state that clearly. We will take reasonable steps to protect your identity consistent with journalistic ethics and the law.

We review submissions regularly but cannot guarantee a response. If your information concerns Hunter, Hurley, Olive, Saugerties, Shandaken, Windham, Woodstock or any institution that shapes life in the Catskills, it matters here.
